Izzy Stradlin joins Axl in NYC

Izzy Stradlin took the stage on the 17th to play “Think about you” and “Nighttrain” with Guns and Roses. Axl had made lots of comments prior to the show hinting that he had been talking to Izzy lately. There are lots of photos from Guns and Roses four shows in NYC here.

Guns and Roses play Hammerstein

Axl did what a lot of people said would never happen. He showed up to play a sold out show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NY on Friday May 12th. Not only did he show up but they played for over two hours, played twenty two songs and did a duet with Sebastian Bach on My Michelle and You’re Crazy. They sold that show out, sold out an added date and then added two more dates that also quickly sold out. See photos of the show and read a review of the show here.

Guns and Roses new guitar player is Ron Thal of the New York City-based alternative-rap-metal project BUMBLEFOOT.

The touring lineup for 2006 is:

Axl Rose – Vocals
Robin Finck – Guitar
Ron Thal – Guitar
Richard Fortus – Guitar
Tommy Stinson – Bass
Dizzy Reed – Keyboards
Chris Pittman – Keyboards
Brain – Drums

David Lee Roth

Diamond Dave has his website back online after the old CBS stayed up for days after he left CBS. The website has nothing updated on it but it is the same theme as the one he had online right before he took the CBS job and cancelled his tour. If he goes back on tour you can count us in on that show. The merchandise page is also back up but there is no merchandise to get. innnnnterrrrrrreessstttiiinnngggg.

Virus Nine signs with Sailor’s Grave Records

This from SG’s site:

Established in 1996, VIRUS NINE is a five piece street-punk rock n’ roll band straight out of Medford, Oregon. The band self-produced their first two full-length DIY albums (one featuring guest vocals by Jesse Luscious of Blatz / Criminals) and put out a 7″ on Mental Records. 2005 saw two more full-lengths, What Are You Afraid Of and Blastin’ Away (the latter produced by the Master of Disaster, Duane Peters), both released by A-F Records.

After years of crisscrossing the country, Virus Nine has more than proven their worth, playing over 500 shows with the likes of Anti-Flag, Against All Authority, Endless Struggle and The Lower Class Brats, as well as the Holidays in the Sun Festival and Warped Tour. Now, Virus Nine has teamed up with SAILOR’S GRAVE RECORDS to keep the momentum going. Look for their SGR debut, We Came To Wreck Everything, to drop in late 2006.
