Thats right he’s frozen in time, but he would have enjoyed this day. He is loved and missed and he left us with a lot of him to enjoy and share. Here’s his 2008 podcast broadcasting The Cramps doing “Can your pussy do the dog?” He is very exuberant. Love hearing you baby! Cha-Cha-Cha! #57bmf4ever
~just a little note to say I had not logged into Reverbnation in a long time and got a email today at 7:57 asking “What’s going on with Dew?”, adding nicely to use it or lose it. I got your 57s all day long. ;)~mc
MC – updated on 1/29/17 – BMF did a ton of Podcasts. He loved doing them. They were lost in the 2014 motherfucking CRASH. I always loved them too and probably didn’t listen to them as much as he wanted me to but they are now so precious to me because it’s his voice that I desperately miss now. I can only assume the podcasts are still sitting on one of his computers and I will have to spend some time seeking them out. I’m not sure what was going on in 2009 when he needed to “sort this out later”, except that he was always sorting something out. 🙂
I will also check his tumblrs @ http://musicfilter.tumblr.com/ and http://whateverhappenedtorockandroll.tumblr.com/ and http://punkrocklife.tumblr.com/ and http://usbombs-blog.tumblr.com/ and http://diehunns-blog.tumblr.com/
1/28/17 – Restored John Cougar “Jack and Diane” from 2008 found randomly in the musicfilter.com web archives. While trying to figure out how WordPress handles Podcast I added a Podcast widget to the sidebar and found it full of his recordings, all dead for now. 🙁 I’m determined to find every single one.
1/31/17 – Restored Butthole Surfers “Hurdy Gurdy Man” from 1/20/08. I found a treasure trove on Jeff’s Vaio today from the “OLD D DRIVE/MusicFilter 2012 Site Files/ wp-content/podcasts.The man backed up everything! I could sit here all day listening to his voice. It will take time to restore all of it but that’s ok. I love it. I miss you my love. I especially love this on:
testing, testing, testing. Stevie and Peaches especially love hearing his voice.
Sunday, June 14th, 2009I found all the old podcast and have created a new podcast page. Check them out here. More to come someday. Here is some of the covers of the music featured.
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009There are many disagreements as to the english translation of this song but all I care about is that it is very catchy and a cool listen. Some translation stuff here and stuff about Plastic Bertrand on the same site but different page. Listen for yourself.
The Coke Bandits came back for a slew of shows across the globe in a 24 hour frenzy that garnered them many new gigs, a 744 Aeroliner Jet and Fresca being arrested for reasons unknown.

7/18/25 ~mc~ lets update. How did I even get here? This is an ancient post. I’ve been updating today and I was following links on the old version of MusicFilter sitting @ MusicFilter.org when I came across this post. BMF’s blog style in 2008 was to make a title list and then post a link. I don’t think you could embed a video back then.
But the original link is dead. I keep the link to archive the post plus it’s a pretty funny message. I do like Slayer and we nearly got in a pretty good pit fight at one of their shows. But they were more BMF style and I had to investigate a little to figure out the song. It was pretty easy.
On October 29, 2008, Slayer released the song “Psychopathy Red” on YouTube. It was later included on their album “World Painted Blood”. The song was inspired by the Soviet serial killer Andrei Chikatilo.
Sounds so Slayer. So here it is in a live version! I don’t listen to Slayer words. But the music is bone shattering and makes you breathe hard and fast.
~mc~ updated this page on 7/17/25 ~ restored the photos and added some embellishments.
I located the old photos on MusicFilter.org server where MusicFilter’s original skeleton rests. These photos were taken with a digital camera before cell phone cameras got great. We had a lot of fun smoking and drinking and playing Rock Band. I’m sure I sang “Hey Ho” hundreds of times. BMF was the most entertaining man of the century. A true Renaissance man.
MusicFilter has found out through a anonymous news source that the Coke Bandits have been in a terrible plane crash. As many of you know the Coke Bandits had just earned five stars on a recent leg of their tour earning them rights to many new venues all over the world as well as being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They were on their way to play Tokyo when apparently Dew, on a party rampage fell into the cockpit with a flaming shot of alcohol. When he fell onto the console, his drink spilled into the lap of the pilot catching him on fire and the plane went off auto pilot. The pilot ‘flying’ the plane had not passed his FAA final test and did not know what to do so he pulled and pushed the steering wheel so hard it broke. The plane was last seen nosediving into a set of unknown mountains. There is no word about Fresca as of now. Stay tuned for more as we find out.
Although they take their name from a Nuge song and use a Confederate flag in their imagery, The Pussy’s politics ain’t god, guns, and gay-bashin’– they run both red and blue. In fact, on the band’s fifth album From Hell to Texas (SPV), they assail religion on “Lazy Jesus” (“God’s just a king with a lot less money”) and bash “The Late, Great USA.” “We walk the line,” Suys says. “The party we vote for is
the Party party.” The song, she continues, is about returning home from Europe to notice the little differences between here and there. “Some of the freedoms over there are different… like, you know, hash and nice, state-sponsored hookers.Then you come back to America, land of supposed freedom, and you’re not allowed to smoke 50 feet in front of a building and shit. It’s like, ‘What the fuck?”{read more}
