I received the new Ruiners record a couple of weeks ago, Motorcycle Lazarus and The Masters of Fire and Love.

You may know if you ever come to this website I am a huge Ruiners fan already.

I will do a more lengthy review when I get the time but I wanted to say that it kicks major ass. Harder then recent releases it sounds GREAT. Get a copy before they are all gone. This is the type of record you plop on the turntable, turn the volume to 11 and let the music envelope your senses. Your senses will thank you.

Mystery Song Identified!

UPDATE: 11/7/13

After numerous attempts for help with friends to identify this song I HAVE FUCKING FOUND IT!!.

The band is called Cirith Ungol. The song is called “I’m Alive and was featured on their album “Front and Fire” from 1980. They were on some Metal Blade comps (must be where I had it originally).

More on the band later. Some members still around in other bands.

BMF Birthday Playlist 2013

Napster has finally expired.

BMF had a Napster account for a long time and I kept it going for a long time but I never used it. I was just preserving another part of him for as long as I could. Unbeknownst to me the auto renewal expired and I only discovered it as I came across this page today and found the music gone. I tried to renew it but it got so dang complicated I gave up. I’ll take that as a sign from 57 that enough is enough. Napster was one of the greatest things in our lives at a time when we were just getting to know each other. Sharing the music was the start of our bond and we went from friends to so much more than either of us could have realized. Most days it’s hard to fathom he’s gone. #57bmf4ever

Rough Music and Soft Porn

At least the Napster script left us with a BMF curated playlist of 289 tracks and will play for a straight 16 hours, twenty eight minutes and 4 seconds. Let me get the Spotify fired up.
