The Bloody Hollies

The Bloody Hollies
newest disc, “Who to Trust, Who to Kill, Who to Love” out on Alive Records is blistering. I could stop there and that would sum it up for this review but I couldn’t stop without telling you how raw yet refined these guys come across. Guitars that makes your guts twist, vocals that will make your brain tighten, drums and bass that push and pull your toes as the music hits your existence.

“Mona” starts off where “Watch your head” from the bands prior album “If footmen tire you” left off. Damn I like ALL the songs on this disc. Very diverse throughout but it always remains ROCK. I’ve only listened to this cd twice but you will surely here more from us here at MusicFilter as it will get lots more playtime here at the Punk Rock House.

If you don’t know who the Bloody Hollies are or have never heard them check out “Satanic Satellite” from the new disc over at Alive Records. Trust me when I say you should really just go here and buy this disc and their other one while your at it and enjoy some awesome ROCK! These guys embody no frills ROCK.

The Bloody Hollies

These guys live up to their cool ass name with blistering vocals and guitars that eXplode just like they should from a band with a name like this. I hear they have really struck a chord lately with their latest release “If Footmen Tire You” out now on Alive Records. Pick it up from Bomps website. They don’t fuck around as the opening track “Watch Your Head” will nail you with an explosion of vocals and guitar that seem to ring true with all the songs on this release. By the time “Gasoline” comes up you kind of gotta take a breath. “Right between the eyes” was meant to be played loud driving very fast in the car of your choice. If I had my choice I’d be toolin’ around in a old Trans Am with the Bloody Hollies thumping out of the windows. This is fucking rock and roll the way we like it here at MusicFilter…the real deal.
