Dick Delicious And The Tasty Testicles Receive The Howard Stern Award. 1/15/03. 7:20am

After the commercial break Howard said he just wanted to say that some of the people who write the greatest music aren’t rewarded. He brought this up because he’d watched the American Music Awards and the People’s Choice Awards. Howard said he wanted to create his own award called the Howard Stern Award. He said he wanted to present the first award to the winners of his award so he had the guys bring in Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles who wrote ”Diarrhea”.

Listen to some great music from an awesome band on Dick Delicious & The Tasty Testicles sounds page. I’ve seen these guys live lots of times and will lots more. They rock, they are fucking hilarious, and they are cool as hell too. Plus they got on Howard Stern and got some kind of award from the King of All Media himself.

Howdy folks…Wait, you mean this isn’t the country music web site everyone’s been talking about?!

Glad to be a part of the philter.

On a musical note, I picked up the White Stripes newer album 3l3phant, which is alright. And, I heard the band Senses Fail for the first time as well. Good stuff. Good stuff.

Thats great man but this is a post about DICK DELICIOUS & The TASTY fuckING TEsTICLES!!

The Earl

The Earl, in East Point. Pretty cool place. Open front so you can see outside and on warm days its open totally. Their hamburgers are good, as long as they don’t overcook it. The back room where they have concerts is pretty cool. Saw The Bellrays there recently. I give them a 6 out of 10 stars.

Echo Lounge

Echo Lounge is a cool place for drinks, bands, and watching people. If they had some food there it would be even cooler.

The Euclid Avenue Yacht Club

This place kicks some major ass. They play awesome music most of the time, depends who is working. The staff is super cool and friendly. The food is great no matter what you order and most of the time your food is ready really really fast and always HOT. 11 stars out of 10 ! They have some of the best barbeque I’ve ever tasted and their burgers are grilled to order and huge as hell. The fries are always hot out of the fryer when your food comes. The drinks are stiff as hell too and good prices all around. Check out their WEBSITE HERE .

Take Out Taxi

These guys who thought this shit up were brilliant and most likely when they thought it up they were too high to go anywhere but incredibly hungry. Which is exactly why they kick ass. Sure, by the time you get your food the bill will be pretty high, but if you got the money, and had the weed, than check them out at www.takeouttaxi.com . Try Joe’s on Juniper for some awesome deserts. But skip the soup cause you don’t get much. The chili is good too.

Tea Space

Home of Bubble Tea. Fancy place, fancy food.

The Deli on Luckie/Cone St. ( Our only neighborhood store )

Awesome people, who have a nice clean corner store of snacks, fresh tuna and chicken salads and sandwiches on fresh bread. The only store I go to on a daily basis.

Vortex(in lil’ 5 points)

They got the look, with the big ol’ skull out front but once inside, it goes way down hill. The patrons that patranize this place are a bunch of whiny, geeky, biker wannabe, dumbass frat boys. The staff seems disorganized and you wonder if they understood anything you just ordered. Food takes forever.

9 Lives Saloon

Great place to see bands. Someone is always playing there. The drinks are good but small. The staff is hardly noticeable(or never around) but nice. They have really good food too. Go play some pool in the back room and sweat your ass off(there is a pizza oven next to the other wall).

Star Bar

We’ve only been in here once or maybe twice. Don’t remember too much. Going this next weekend though and instead of being drunk i’m gonna reallly high so i can remmber what its like a little better.

Travis, the band’s manager, had a birthday party get together that had “The Unsatisfied” headlining. To say the band was awesome would be another understatment so lets just say they kicked major ass. Eric still had his cast on but did not slow him or the band down one bit. As many people know, me and Miss Chicky are huge followers of Nashville Pussy. So much in fact that we followed them for a week long jaunt in Colorado a while back and started a fan site called “Fried Chicken & Coffee” which chronicles their tours and going ons on a weekly basis or as news happens with them. We still love Nashville Pussy and the “Chronicles” will go on as long as the band keeps it up, but we have been looking and wishing another band would come along to spark our interests enough to make us want to follow them around and start a new fansite. We found that band. The Unsatisfied have moved us. They embody the Rock & Roll spirit that is so hard to find nowdays. Not only do these guys rock our asses off , they also impress us with their sincerity and charisma. When they play live, their energy is infectous. The lead singer Eric, is amazing in that he obviously feeds off the energy of his band, the muisc and the audience. Nothing looks to be rehearsed or scripted. The band starts out and its cool, but after a few songs, you can tell Eric and the band feed off each other making a true rock and roll spectacle you won’t soon forget. I’m rambling a bit here, but the bottom line is this band KICKS MAJOR ASS and I would say if they stay together they have a bright and fun future ahead. Look for a new fansite in the future that is all about The Unsatisfied. more later.

The Unsatisfied ~ December 6, 2002

The Unsatisfied @ 9 Lives Saloon in Atlanta, Ga.

We went to see The Unsatisfied at 9 Lives Saloon Friday night 12/06/02 and were very very pleased with what we saw. Jett from The Evils had told me earlier that night that “the lead singer was a crazy motherfucker” and had a broken foot. To say the broken foot didn’t slow him down would be the understatement of the day! This band kicks some major ass from the git go. They have a melodic, yet very hard sound that is extremly catchy yet hard enough to derail any naysayer that this isn’t pure rock and fucking roll. Eric the lead singer was equal parts Iggy Pop, Jeff Dahl, and Prince. He has a presence not found in many bands these days. This band kicks major butt people. They look good, they sound good, and they are nice guys on top of that. They were cool enough to give me a demo that I was skeptical about at first. I mean, how in the hell can a band that is so visual and obviously rule live, get that energy on a cd? They proved me wrong as soon as the first song came on. The songs all rule start to finish. Check out our photo’s from 9 Lives Saloon here.

But you can see the photos from this show a lot better over here. ~mc
