Duane Peters has a movie about his bad self…

We can make weed disappear right before your eyes.

July 19, 2003

Duane Peters has a movie about his bad self…… Check out the trailer to the upcoming DVD release of “Who Cares…The Duane Peters Story” which is due out by the end of this summer. DUANE PETERS is a skateboarder with serious cred. He’s generally acknowledged as the guy who consumated the union of punk rock and skateboarding, taking it from a la-la cruise by nerdy longhairs whose music of choice was the Eagles into the full-blown tough guy hardcore punk scene it is today. Here is a cool tribute to his skateboarding ability here. Check out some way cool downloads of The Hunns here.

But skating is just part of the fun for Duane, his other avocation is punk rock; and he’s pretty good at that too. Duane is the leader of the infamous U.S. BOMBS, and since 2000 he has started fronting The HUNNS. The HUNNS sound is raw, chainsaw, based on a classic formula : two Les Pauls, drums and bass. Duane, of course, sounds like Duane, but that’s the main similarity with the Bombs : the HUNNS delivery is much more street American rock’n’roll. Now with the addition of ex-Nashville Pussy COREY PARKS on bass, The HUNNS have become one of the best punk band playing anywhere in the world today.

The U.S. Bombs re-release of “Put Strength in the Final Blow” which was originally released in 94′ as a vinyl only album, now on CD with all tracks remixed by Duane and now features 4 tracks from the double 7inch of which only 500 copies were originally pressed. The whole thing has been remastered and includes liner notes from Duane himself. Go here to read more and download Bubble Gum from the “Put Strength in the Final Blow” CD.

Henry Rollins and Black Flag @ The Masquerade in Atlanta 6/5/03

June 07, 2003

Rollins proves he still has “IT” Thursday 6/5 at the Masquerade Henry Rollins pulled off a feat no one ever thought he would do, and he did it with balls and sweat.

I’ve been a fan of Black Flag for a long time. My first purchase was “Who’s got the 10 1/2 inch?” on cassette. I played that tape over and over and over and still to this day listen to it. Black Flag was the prototype punk band for me. Pure energy, pure rage, pure punk. I never got the chance to see the band play live but the moons aligned just right for a reunion of sorts with the Rollins band going on tour to support the West Memphis Three and playing all Black Flag songs and also to support the CD “Rise Above” which is one of the best Cd’s to come out for a long time. It ranks in the top 5 CD’s of all time for me. Keith Morris made a guest appearance singing about 5 songs from the early days when he was the singer for Black Flag. He didn’t disappoint at all. Then out walks Henry like a lion that had been caged forever and suddenly released to a room full of raw meat. He attacked the stage, the audience, and the songs with a force that was beyond powerful. His famous stance before the song ripped into a the verses was menacing, his voice better than ever and his intensity just as intense as any one of his first gigs back in the day….from what I have read anyway…..

EVERY song was ON, EVERY nuance was HIT HARD, every stage diver met with a look like, “go ahead PUNK make my day”. The sweat poured off of Henry soaking anyone in the first 3 rows of the pit. I braved the very front row for about 10 songs. WOW. INFUCKINGTENSE. I still hurt from it but it hurt so good. So awesome. I can’t even get the words to flow right about this show it was so good. The Pistols are number one at what they do forever. Black Flag will forever be number one at what they do. In your face, gut wrenching punk that you feel deep inside. If anyone out there gets a chance to see this show…DO IT….you won’t be sorry. I see now why Henry named one of his first solo albums after he left Black Flag “HOT ANIMAL MACHINE”…he is EXACTLY that and more. And I guess Henry decided since he was doing this tour in the first place he may as well go all the way and do an encore(something he once made fun of)…so he came out and did “Damaged 1&2” that was the perfect last song.

Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles

We can make weed disappear right before your eyes.

April 27, 2003

Official site of Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles.

Dick Delicious And The Tasty Testicles Receive The Howard Stern Award. 1/15/03. 7:20am

After the commercial break Howard said he just wanted to say that some of the people who write the greatest music aren’t rewarded. He brought this up because he’d watched the American Music Awards and the People’s Choice Awards. Howard said he wanted to create his own award called the Howard Stern Award. He said he wanted to present the first award to the winners of his award so he had the guys bring in Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles who wrote ”Diarrhea”.

Listen to some great music from an awesome band on Dick Delicious & The Tasty Testicles sounds page. I’ve seen these guys live lots of times and will lots more. They rock, they are fucking hilarious, and they are cool as hell too. Plus they got on Howard Stern and got some kind of award from the King of All Media himself.

Howdy folks…Wait, you mean this isn’t the country music web site everyone’s been talking about?!

Glad to be a part of the philter.

On a musical note, I picked up the White Stripes newer album 3l3phant, which is alright. And, I heard the band Senses Fail for the first time as well. Good stuff. Good stuff.

Thats great man but this is a post about DICK DELICIOUS & The TASTY fuckING TEsTICLES!!
